Amsterdam Players Win European Hurling Title!!!

Amsterdam players continued where they left off last year on the European GAA scene, by winning another European title at the Hurling Finals on Saturday July 14th. 


Conor O’Rourke, Eolann Harrington, Fergal Walsh, and Jack O’Gorman were part of the Dutch team that picked up their fourth consecutive regional hurling tournament trophy of the year in Thurles at the weekend, and secured the overall 2012 European Hurling Championship.


After early victories over Paris and Zurich, a final awaited against familiar rivals, Belgium. Despite the European title already secured at this point, the Dutch lads didn't take their foot off the pedal, and easily disposed off their neighbours on a scoreline of 3-15 to 0-04.


Well done to all the Amsterdam lads, and keep it going for the Amsterdam 7’s team at the European 7’s tournament in August.
