Training

Amsterdam GAC host weekly training sessions for men’s and ladies football and hurling.

Our training sessions are held outdoors on rugby pitches, so it advised to wear football boots. The routines consist of drills, with time spent on the skills needed in a match situation, and always a short game. When larger numbers are in attendance, members are split up into groups to get as much out of training time as possible.

Our coaches concentrate on developing both the basic skills of the sport in all players as well as the competence needed to compete in a match situation, thus working toward the tournaments throughout the year.

Beginners are welcome to join at any stage and are encouraged to participate. Time is always spent with new players on their first training sessions, to help them with the basic skills of the game and with getting to know the routine and the other members.
