Holland Ladies kicked off their 2012 season, by claiming their first of hopefully many trophies for 2012! The ladies faced off against their old foes, Belgium Ladies, in two fiercely contested matches at the recent Invitational tournament in Den Haag.
Holland Ladies put in two great efforts, and claimed back to back wins against the current European Champions, and the victories has the ladies team nicely set up for the start of the Benelux league on March 31st.
The team have had a large influx of new players this season, and Eimear and Julia were a few of the new players who made their successful debuts during the tournament. Good performances all across the team but it was Maria Murtagh who showed her class throughout the day with scores from all over the park, and deservingly picked up the player of the tournament award.
