The club travels to Luxembourg this weekend, when the official European GAA season kicks off. Amsterdam Mens will compete in Round 1 of the Benelux Mens Championship coming up against Belgium, Den Haag, Frankfurt and Luxembourg, while Holland Ladies will start the European Ladies Championship by facing up to opposition from Belgium, Munich, Paris, and Luxembourg.
Both mens and ladies team are travelling to Luxembourg with strong squads, and high hopes for the weekend and indeed the entire season. Amsterdam Mens blooded a number of new players in their recent matches against Irish team, Phoenix Park Rangers, and Benelux rivals, Den Haag, whilst the ladies have already picked up their first trophy of the season in the Ladies St. Patrick’s Festival Invitational Tournament in The Hague, beating Belgium Ladies, 4-8 to 3-6.
