Reasons to be Cheerful!

Two European Championships for the men's team, the resurgence of the Holland Ladies football team, and the debut of a strong Amsterdam hurling team was just some of the many reasons for a big celebration at the Amsterdam GAC & Holland Ladies Christmas Party!

Hosted for the first time in the beautifully decorated Lieve, on Herengracht, Derek McElhinney was on hand as master of ceremonies with his finest Christmas jumper to look back on a great year for the club which has seen it cement its position as one of the biggest and most successful clubs in European GAA.

As well as acknowledging each team's achievements, it was also an opportunity to praise a number of outstanding individual achievements with our annual Player Awards:

The contribution of two very deserving club stalwarts was also celebrated. Berry Braster's retirement from playing was marked with a Club Contribution award, and Aoife Reilly was presented with the Amsterdam GAC Club Person of the Year award for all her hard work in developing a new Holland Ladies squad, and for her role as Club PRO.

Congrats to all, and roll on the 2015 season!
