The curtain came down on another successful season at the 2012 Amsterdam GAC Christmas Party in Leidseplein on Saturday night.
With a record haul of tournament wins between Amsterdam Championship team, Amsterdam Shield team, and the Holland Ladies, there was no shortage of trophies on display on the night!
Our ladies team were praised for their fantastic achievements during the year in both camogie and football, whilst our Shield and Championship team were presented with their Benelux Shield & Benelux Championship winners’ medals.

Kenny Monaghan was named Club Person of the Year 2012 for his great work on and off the pitch during the year, keep it up!
Derek Lowry signed off on an extremely successful two year stint as mens team captain. Big thanks to him for all his hard work and congratulations to our new captain, Martin McClean.
The infamous Fat 5 and Hissy Fit 5 awards were duly handed out with Marty and Pete taking the top spots. Vague recollections of a Fat 5 group photo which luckily we don’t have to put up on this blog!!
A sad farewell to one of our club stalwarts, Chris Taz, who is Australia-bound with his new wife, Eveline. Thanks for everything Taz, best wishes to both of you, and hope to see you back here soon.
Big thanks to the Hole in the Wall for a fantastic 3 course Christmas dinner, and for their continued support to the club.
