Holland Ladies held their second Christmas Party in as many weeks, when they celebrated with the Irish Club in Den Haag on Saturday December 11th.
The girls enjoyed another successful season, which saw them being coached by their new trainer Peadar O’Toole for the first time and captained by Sile Mooney.
At the awards, Mary McPherson was announced as the new ladies captain for 2011 season, and Deirdre White will act as vice-captain.
Also during the celebrations, Holland Ladies 2010 Player of the Year prizes were awarded. Lynn Mullin, fresh from her literary debut with the Le Chéile magazine, celebrated her first season with the team by picking up the well deserved Newcomer of the Year award.
Mary McPherson continued her outright domination(!) of the ladies team, by picking up Foreign Player of the Year, and the overall, Player of the Year, award to add to her captaincy.
Congrats to Deirdre, Lynn, and Mary, and many thanks to Peadar and Sile for their work during the year with the team.
