Holland Ladies Take Second

Holland Ladies finished off the 2012 Benelux season by taking second place overall in the Benelux league.

The ladies had two Holland teams competing in Maastricht last weekend at the final round, and both put up strong opposition to Belgium Ladies A and Belgium Ladies B.

Holland Ladies B showed their development with excellent performances against both Belgium teams, while Holland Ladies A marched into a final to face Belgium Ladies A.

Despite injuries to key players including Mairead Cleary and Maria Murtagh, Holland were more than a match for Belgium throughout the final with great performances by Jacqueline Rulloda and Kate Maher. The ladies were unlucky to lose out by 3 points to Belgium in the end, but are looking sharper with every tournament, and will look forward to the upcoming European competitions in the Autumn.
